According to media reports, Sweden’s proposal is yet to be approved by the Turkish Parliament. Apart from this, Sweden’s proposal has not been approved by NATO member Hungary either. At present, Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said to consider this issue as soon as possible.

At the same time, US President Joe Biden, who was in Vilnius to attend the NATO summit, thanked Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. He said that he is excited to welcome PM Ulf Kristersson and Sweden as NATO’s 32nd ally.
