The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that its air defense system “destroyed” 75 drones in several areas.
These drones were fired in many areas including Belgorod, Krasnodar, Kursk, Oryol, Rostov, Voronezh and Ryazan, which are areas bordering Ukraine. The statement said that one of these drones was shot down over the Sea of Azov. According to the ministry, 36 drones were destroyed in the Rostov region of Russia. Rostov Governor Vasily Golubev said in a statement released online that Ukraine had attacked the region with a total of 55 drones. However, he did not clarify how many of these drones were shot down and how many reached their targets.
Many warehouses were damaged
The governor said that warehouses located in Morozovsk and Kamensky districts have been damaged in Ukraine’s drone attack. At the same time, Ukraine’s ‘General Staff’ said in a post on Facebook on Saturday that the Ukrainian army attacked an airport in Morozovsk. Along with this, fuel depots were also destroyed in Belgorod, Kursk and Rostov regions. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force said on Saturday that Russia attacked Ukraine at night with 29 Shahid drones and four missiles.
