The incident is from Illinois province of America. Where a 36-year-old black woman was shot by a policeman on July 6. The woman’s name was Sonya Massey. On the complaint of the woman, 2 policemen had reached her house for help. During this, there was an altercation between them over something. After which one of those policemen shot that woman. The policeman was arrested in the case.

At present, a 36-minute body-camera footage related to the incident was released on Monday. In the video, it can be seen that policeman Sean Grayson and another policeman are talking to Sonya. After some time, the woman goes to her kitchen and picks up a mug full of hot water. Seeing this, the policeman steps back. After this, the policeman points a gun at the woman. Both the policemen ask the woman to put down the pot full of water. But the woman does not do so. After which policeman Sean Grayson fires three bullets at the woman. After shooting, the second policeman asks to call the medical service but Sean Grayson refuses to do so. Sean Grayson says that the woman has been shot in the head and she has died. After this, Grayson comes out of the house and informs the law enforcement officer about this incident and says that the woman was crazy.

The case reached the court, where policeman Sean Grayson has been accused of first degree murder. Grayson has said that he is innocent, but the court has refused to release Sean Grayson. In a press conference on Monday, the lawyer of black woman Sonya Masse has appealed to the court for justice. When the court asked the lawyer of the deceased woman whether the woman was suffering from mental illness, in response to this the lawyer told the court that the deceased woman had a mental problem but she could not harm anyone so much that she should be shot. She had asked for help from the police but the police shot her in the face.
