Washington: US President Joe Biden is constantly facing demands and criticism to withdraw from the presidential election race after lagging behind Trump in the first presidential debate. Despite this, he is adamant on contesting again. He said on Thursday that he is “healthy” and “committed” to contest again against his Republican rival Donald Trump. Biden also said that a “stupid mistake” will not change his intention, as he has many tasks to complete.
Addressing reporters on the occasion of the conclusion of the NATO summit in Washington, Biden claimed that at the moment no survey or person is indicating to him that he cannot win re-election. He said that this would be the only reason why he would consider giving up the presidential candidacy. The US President said, “I am committed to contesting the election. I think I am the most qualified person for the presidential candidacy. I beat him (Trump) once and I will beat him again.”

Joe Biden said, “Also, the idea that senators and congressmen in the presidential race are worried about the ticket is not unusual and I would say that there were at least five presidents in the presidential race whose popularity level was lower than mine.” Biden said, “So there is still a long way to go in this campaign and so I will just keep going, keep moving forward.” He said, “And look, since I have a lot of work to complete.
