When Trump was on the golf ground, the ‘American Secret Service’ agent sitting hidden at some distance from there saw that a rifle barrel was visible from among the bushes at a distance of about 400 yards. Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw said an agent fired shots after which the gunman present there threw the rifle there and fled in an SUV. He said that along with the rifle, two backpacks, a telescope used for target practice and a camera were also found. Later the person was caught by the authorities.

After the attack, the former president said that he was safe and fine and a person has been arrested in this case. Trump said in an email sent to his supporters, “There were sounds of firing around me, but before the rumors get out of control, I want to tell you that I am safe and fine.” He wrote, “Nothing can stop me.”
