Hamas killed Israeli-American hostages, IDF recovered 6 bodies; Biden said – will have to pay the price

Jerusalem: Hamas terrorists killed 6 Israeli-American hostages in Gaza. The Israeli army has recovered the bodies of all these. The parents of Israeli-American youth Hersh Goldberg-Polin confirmed this morning that the terrorists who took their son hostage in the Gaza Strip have killed him. With this, the months-long campaign by his parents to ensure the release of Goldberg-Polin (23) also came to an end, which included meeting world leaders and pleading for help from the stage of the Democratic Party’s national convention in the US last month. US President Joe Biden said that Hamas will have to pay the price for this.

Hamas terrorists attacked a music festival in southern Israel last year and took Goldberg-Polin and some others hostage. Goldberg-Polin, a resident of Berkeley, California, lost his left hand in a grenade attack. In a video released by Hamas in April, his left hand was missing and he was clearly seen speaking in great pain. This sparked fresh protests in Israel demanding the release of the hostages.\

Pressure on Netanyahu to release the hostages will now increase
The killing of 6 hostages, including Goldberg-Polin, is expected to increase the pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a deal to ensure the safe return of the rest of the hostages. Netanyahu has taken a tough stand on the deal and said that military action is needed to bring the hostages back. US President Joe Biden, who has met Goldberg-Polin’s parents, said he was “deeply saddened and angry.” He said, “This is as sad as it is reprehensible. Hamas leaders will have to pay the price for these crimes. We will continue to work around the clock to reach an agreement to secure the release of the remaining hostages.”

Bodies of 6 hostages recovered

Goldberg-Polin’s family released a statement confirming his death after the Israeli army announced the recovery of the bodies of six hostages from a tunnel in the Gaza Strip and the identification of the deceased. Hersh Goldberg-Polin was also among these hostages. In the statement, the family said, “The Goldberg-Polin family confirms with a heavy heart the death of their beloved child Hersh.
