Apart from this, he transferred money to field agents in Turkey to collect intelligence on Syria. To prove Rexhepi’s activities, suspicious transactions are also included in his accounts, which were monitored by the Turkish intelligence agency MIT.

Citing the Turkish intelligence agency, state media has claimed that the arrested Mossad financial head transferred a large amount of money to field agents in Turkey through Western Union. He entered the country on August 25. Since then his activities were monitored. When MIT and Istanbul police detained Rexhepi on August 30, he admitted to transferring the money. This was a major disclosure of Mossad’s financial network. MIT found out that Mossad funded its field agents in Turkey through Eastern European countries, mainly Kosovo. After this, funds from Kosovo were transferred to Syrian sources through Western Union and cryptocurrency.
