Donald Trump has my strong support.” Trump has become the official candidate of the Republican Party for the post of President after getting the votes of a sufficient number of ‘delegates’ (a person representing a group of voters) in this conference. He will give his address accepting the nomination on Thursday.
Haley said – Trump is the best candidate for the country
Haley told thousands of delegates and party leaders that Trump is the best candidate for the country and Republican leaders are united to defeat outgoing President Joe Biden. In her speech, she defended the former president’s foreign policy and spoke directly to voters who disagree with her on some issues. She said, “There are some Americans who do not agree with Donald Trump 100 percent. My message to them is clear: You do not have to agree with Trump 100 percent while voting for him.” Haley said, “Our country is at a critical juncture. We have to choose someone. For more than a year, I have said that voting for Joe Biden means voting for Kamala Harris. For the sake of our country, we have to choose Donald Trump.” Trump was present at the convention center when Haley gave her speech.
Applause kept ringing in Haley’s honor
Forgetting the old bitterness, when Haley started her speech, Trump and Senator J.D. Vance stood up and applauded her. The Indian-American leader said, “When Barack Obama was the President, Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Crimea. When Joe Biden is the President, Putin attacked the whole of Ukraine. But when Donald Trump was the President, Putin did nothing. No invasion, no war. Putin did not attack Ukraine because he knew that Donald Trump is tough.
A strong president does not start a war. A strong president stops a war.” Indian-American entrepreneur-turned-politician Vivek Ramaswamy also asked the countrymen to vote for Trump before the convention. He said that Trump will be a President who will actually unite the country and that too not just by talking but by doing something.
