Russia is giving compensation and citizenship to Indians who lost their lives in the war against Ukraine

Russia has started the process of giving compensation to the families of the Indians who were deceived and killed in the ongoing war against Ukraine.

Even one of these families has agreed to accept Russian citizenship.

Ashwin Bhai Mangukia of Gujarat has told “They have already deposited Rs 45 lakh in my account. The remaining amount of compensation of Rs 1.3 crore will be given now. It is possible that this amount will be received on the 15th or 20th of this month.”

Ashwin Bhai Mangukia’s son Hemil died in a missile attack on 21 February. He was 23 years old. He fell prey to the deception of an agent. The agent had promised him a job as a helper in the Russian army.

But Hemil was sent to the front like many other Indians. The agents had promised these people well-paid jobs in Russia but they were deceived and pushed into fighting in Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine.
