Bangkok: People often go to Thailand to enjoy. There is hardly any better place than this for fun. A group of men and women also went there. They took a room in a luxurious hotel in Bangkok. Everyone had lunch together in the room. But later something happened, which no one even had a clue about. There was an uproar in the entire hotel. Police was called in a hurry. Actually, all these people were found dead in a luxury hotel in Bangkok. According to the police, bodies of 6 people were found from the hotel. According to the Forensic Department Chief of Thailand Police, traces of ‘cyanide’ have been found in the coffee of six people found dead in a luxury hotel in Bangkok.
‘Cyanide’ is a very poisonous chemical, after consuming which it is almost impossible to survive. Six bodies were found on Tuesday in the ‘Grand Hyatt Erawan’ hotel located in downtown Bangkok. Police said that investigation of the hotel records revealed that there was no outsider in the room except the six people. He said that they were last seen alive on Monday afternoon when food was delivered to their room. Their voices were coming. When no sound was heard for a long time and no one came out, suspicion arose. On opening the gate, all were found dead.
Thailand Police Forensic Department chief Lieutenant General Trirong Pivapan said that the police have found traces of ‘cyanide’ in the empty cups seized from the room. The preliminary report of the post-mortem is expected on Thursday. Bangkok Police Chief Lieutenant General Thiti Sangsawang said that the deceased have been identified as two Vietnamese-Americans and four as citizens of Vietnam. He said that among the dead there are three men and three women.
Citing information received from the relatives of the victims, Bangkok Deputy Police Chief Noppasin Punsawat said, ‘It is possible that this case is related to money. Which was invested by a couple on any of these six. The couple felt that their money was not being used properly.’ Noppasin said that the Vietnamese and US embassies have been contacted regarding this incident and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is also involved in the investigation. He said, ‘This matter appears to be personal and will not affect the safety of tourists.’ Bangkok Deputy Police Chief Trirong said that this does not appear to be a case of mass suicide, because some of them had made an elaborate plan for their trip. They had even hired a guide and driver for their trip. He said that the bodies were not recovered from the same place, some were recovered from the bedroom and some from other places. Trirong said that this shows that they did not consume poison intentionally.
