Salman Khan played the role of an HIV patient. The special thing is that the role of HIV patient in this film released in 2004 was rejected by the entire industry. When no hero wanted to play this role, then Salman Khan came as a troubleshooter and played this role for a fee of just 1 rupee. The producer of the film Shailendra Singh has revealed this. Shailendra Singh has posted a video on his Instagram account. In which he told that Salman Khan himself had taken the decision to work in this film.

Salman Khan agreed after listening to Shilpa

Before the producer of the film Shailendra, director Revati also spoke openly about this. In an interview given to Rediff recently, Revati had told, ‘We were making a film on HIV victims. But we needed an HIV-infected lead character in this film. We talked to many actors of the industry. But everyone refused to do this character. After this, Shilpa Shetty narrated its story to Salman Khan. Salman Khan agreed to Shilpa’s words and he agreed to work in this film for a fee of 1 rupee. Salman Khan came as a savior for this film.

The film was a flop at the box office

The film ‘Phir Milenge’ released on 27 August 2004 could not do anything special at the box office. But it left a big mark in the form of awareness. Salman Khan was in the lead role with Shilpa Shetty in the film. Abhishek Bachchan played the role of a lawyer in the film. Made with a budget of 5 crore 50 lakh rupees, this film could earn only 3 crore 65 lakh rupees in India. Although the worldwide collection of the film reached 5 crore 43 lakh rupees. But the film has been kept in the list of flops.
