Uttar Pradesh, the state with the largest population in the country, has emerged as a paradise for new entrepreneurs. Easy paperwork process for starting a business (Ease of Doing Business), and tight law and order has instilled confidence in businessmen and new entrepreneurs. They are starting their business without fear. The government is also providing them all possible help. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is monitoring to provide a big market to the new product. This has boosted the morale of the businessmen and their profits are increasing in business. How Uttar Pradesh has become the industrial hub of the country, its sample will be seen in the UP International Trade Show-2024 (UPITS-2024) to be held between 25 and 29 September. This TED show will prove to be a ‘global Maha Kumbh’ for the traditional entrepreneurs of the state. In this sequence, entrepreneurs of more than 270 local and traditional products of Varanasi, Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Jhansi divisions have registered so far under various categories. This process will gain more momentum in the coming days.

Handloom, handicrafts are being promoted
The entrepreneurs who have registered are running enterprises of various categories including handloom, terracotta, handicrafts, small scale industries, MSME, ODOP, who will participate in this grand event. At the same time, new exporters, handicrafts and women entrepreneurs are also very excited and hopeful about participating in the event. They unanimously say that CM Yogi’s policies are not only preserving the tradition of the state, but also making access to the global market accessible for our products. According to him, this has made our products reach different countries of the world. This will also increase our earnings.

Banarasi silk saree will be in focus

44 handicraftsmen, new exporters and women entrepreneurs of Varanasi division have registered to go to the International Trade Show. Umesh Singh, Joint Commissioner of Industries Department, said that 20 entrepreneurs of One District One Product from 4 districts of Varanasi division, Varanasi, Chandauli, Jaunpur and Ghazipur will participate in the UP International Trade Show. At the same time, 16 entrepreneurs associated with micro, small and medium enterprises (which include wooden toys, pink meenakari, carpets, beverages, medical products bio fertilizer, masala noodles and Banarasi silk industry etc.) will also participate. A total of 44 entrepreneurs, including 8 new exporters associated with Banarasi silk saree and carpet industry, have registered to participate in the event.

At the same time, 134 handicraftsmen, new exporters and women entrepreneurs of Agra division have registered to participate in UPITS 2024. This includes 51 from Agra, 23 from Mathura, 56 from Firozabad, 4 from Mainpuri. These include exporters like Dawar Footwear, Gupta Overseas, Stoneman etc. from Agra. A total of 7 entrepreneurs have registered in Prayagraj, in which entrepreneurs of 3 MSME units will also participate. These entrepreneurs will get stalls at concessional rates in the trade show.

At the same time, 10 entrepreneurs from all three districts of Jhansi division, Jhansi, Lalitpur and Jalaun will participate with their products in UPITS 2024. 1 entrepreneur from Jalaun, 2 from Lalitpur and 7 from Jhansi have so far proposed to participate in the trade show. Similarly, 22 entrepreneurs from various sectors, 3 from Badaun, 4 from Pilibhit and 3 from Shahjahanpur are participating in Bareilly. Overall, 32 entrepreneurs from Bareilly division have so far ensured their participation in UPITS 2024.
