Looking at the conditions of the film, Vikas Bahl said that he himself could not understand in which direction the story of Ganpat was going. He had a lot of doubts about the story of the film. He also told that Ganpat was his dream project. He started working on the film with great passion, but gradually the story of the film started moving away from the direction he had thought. He said in an interview – ‘I was writing the story of Ganpat and kept writing. Gradually the story kept changing and I myself did not understand when it went into the future backdrop. When I read the story, I myself did not understand how to narrate it. I just knew that it had to be completed.
