Lucknow: Class III student dies while playing in school, commotion ensues

Shocking news has come from a school in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. A student died while playing in Montfort School here. According to a statement issued by the school principal, on Thursday, class III student Manvi Singh (about nine years old) fell unconscious in the school playground. He said that after this she was rushed to the nearby Fatima Hospital.

The girl’s family also took her to Chandan Hospital but the doctors said that she died due to cardiac arrest. This matter also came to the notice of the police but the girl’s family has said that no action will be taken. After the news of the girl’s death, a holiday was declared in the school on Friday.

Recently more than 25 girl students fell sick after allegedly consuming deworming medicine in a government school in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. This incident took place in a government school in Khajuri. Civil surgeon of the district hospital Deeparani Israni had told that the students in the school were given ‘Albendazole’ tablets for deworming. A student of the school had told that Anganwadi workers gave the tablets to the girl students and the girl students who consumed the medicine fell sick within half an hour. She told that these tablets were given to the girl students from class six to 12.
