Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, India demonstrated a robust commitment to its South Asian neighbors by emerging as a crucial source of vaccines. Distributing Vaccines Across South Asia
In a remarkable display of solidarity, India distributed vaccines to several South Asian countries, ensuring equitable access to essential healthcare resources. Bangladesh received a significant share of vaccines, with 280,828 doses, followed by Myanmar with 212,000 doses. Other beneficiaries included Nepal, Bhutan, the Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, and Sri Lanka, each receiving doses tailored to their specific needs. This distribution wasn’t merely a gesture of goodwill but a strategic maneuver aimed at safeguarding the health and safety of the region.
