To make millet khichdi, first wash millet and moong dal thoroughly, then put millet, moong dal, water, ginger, green chillies and salt in a pressure cooker. Till the cooker cools down, heat ghee in a pan, add some cumin seeds to it, when the cumin seeds start crackling, add onion and make it golden.

After the onion turns golden, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and some spices and fry for 1 minute. Now remove the millet and moong dal from the cooker and put it in the pan, then mix it well and cook on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes. When it is cooked properly, take it out in a plate and serve hot by adding finely chopped coriander on it.
